The result comes in two forms: 'no cancer signal detected', or 'cancer signal detected' with a prediction of the anatomic region it may originate from. This episode discusses what both outcomes mean, that a detected signal is not a diagnosis, that a negative result does not fully eliminate risk, and that the test cannot be used in symptomatic patients.
